News and Events
GreatSpace, Chesterfield Countys own Master Gardeners and the McShin foundation teamed up this past week to raise community awareness of addiction and resources that are available. Addiction affects at least 8/10 families, yet for some reason so little is known about available services and opportunities for help in our community! We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Sue Fader, Ms. Marsha Carter and Mr. Bill Bishop from the Master Gardeners who graciously volunteered their time and help, as well as Sherry Minnicino at the Chesterfield Cooperative Extension Service, The McShin foundation, Mike Tillem, AJ Outko, Zach Gray, Mike Rainess, Zach Sanderson and Joseph Bevins, who worked so hard during our project!
We would like to also mention the North Star Community, Teresa McBean; Denise Thomas-Brown, Marjorie Yates, and John B at the SAARA Center, and Jeff from the Living Clean NA group.
We hope to do more projects like this in the future and if you are interested in knowing more, or would like to be included, please don't hesitate to contact us!
